  1. How to apply for the internship? : You can drop a mail to the HR department or Talk to Mr. Nandish Pethani
  2. Were you required to take multiple follow-ups or the concerned department/ person was quick to respond? : We had to do follow ups but the department was quick to respond
  3. When should a person start applying, especially if there is a long procedure in place or any filtering criteria/ stages?: There is no such long procedure, just a telephonic interview. You can talk to them in April if you want to start in around June.

  1. Your College/ Institution : School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi
  2. Year of Internship : 2019
  3. Department/ Division/ Zone: Urban planning and design department
  4. Work Location/ Office Location : Guwahati, Assam
  5. Internship Duration : 2 months
  6. Working hours/ days: Free work schedule, Monday to Saturday
  7. Was it a paid internship?: No
  8. Perks/ benefits apart from completion certificate : Accommodation and food provided
  9. Your Project/ Work/ Role: GIS Based Master Plan under the AMRUT Mission for Guwahati and Nagaon, I worked on the background study for social infrastructure allocation for the city of Guwahati and assessed the future needs of the same in respect to the demographic profile, I also worked on a fire safety report for the City of Nagaon and assessed the facilities available for the same. Other than that me and my team designed the Transport survey formats and prepared a survey schedule.
  10. Your overall experience?: Made me realise that what we do in studios and what happens in the real field is a little different
  11. Did it meet your expectations and to what extent? : It did not meet my expectations, but it taught me how to be patient in the workspace.
  12. Do you recommend doing an internship at this place? : moderate yes
  13. Were you able to grow your professional network? : I developed a sense as to how you have to behave in a work environment.
  14. Is there any option for "internship to job" after getting the degree?: Yes
