1. How to Apply?

  1. How to apply for the internship?
    I applied via enquiring with my professor who had a contact within the organisation. But after establishing the contact, it was done via email. Even if you don't know anyone in the organisation, there is a career page within the website which would give you contact details and available posts in IIHS Delhi.

  2. Were you required to take multiple follow-ups or the concerned department/ person was quick to respond?
    Quick to respond.

  3. When should a person start applying, especially if there is a long procedure in place or any filtering criteria/ stages?
    Preferably 2-3 months before the internship period.

  4. Do you need any intervention in the form of approval/ request letter etc from your institution before applying to this place?
    Yes.

    - Digitisation of Chandigarh revenue maps to track development history and status of land records, creation/filtering of attribute and spatial data and data validation through Google Earth;
    - Studying typology, features, and causes of unauthorised development in peripheral area of Chandigarh;
    - Literature Review on Land Records in India and Land Titling in India

    Great experience! Learned a lot of things about the workplace!

  11. Did it meet your expectations and to what extent?
    I didn't have any expectations as such. I was getting acknowledged for my work, which was really nice.

  12. Do you recommend doing an internship at this place?
    Very much, without a doubt!

    Absolutely. There are a lot of connections you can make within the organisation.

    Not aware.
