Sulakshana Mahajan
I am an architect and studied Urban Planning at University of Michigan but did not complete my Ph.D. Worked as Urban Planning consultant at Mumbai Transformation Support Unit a Think Tank set up by Govt. Of Maharashtra and now closed since 2018. from 2005 to 2016. MTSU carried out a number of research projects and advised government on policy issues.
I also worked as architect at BARC and other private sector firms in Mumbai for 30 years before undertaking study at U. of M.
I have translated Jan Ghel's book, 'Cities for People' to Marathi and also adopted Jane Jacobs book Nature of Economies on Marathi. Also translated book Smart Barcelona to Marathi, written by the Dy. Mayour Antoni Vivies. Also authored books in Marathi on urban planning and Smart City in last 15 years.
I contribute articles to Marathi and English news papers and magazines. Would like to contribute to Planning Tank.
